The Regina neighborhood, named after the former Regina Parochial School that is now home to a day care center, is a conveniently located smaller residential neighborhood. Located in south Minneapolis, the neighborhood is bound by interstate 35W to the west, 42nd Street to the north, Chicago Avenue to the eats and 46th street to the south.
The neighborhood is predominately residential with smaller homes built in the 1920’s and 30’s. Chicago Avenue, on the eastern edge of the neighborhood, is a main commercial corridor and features a variety of quaint restaurants, boutiques and specialty stores. At 48th Street and Chicago, just south of Regina, residents will find a charming and trendy area that features the popular restaurants Pepitos and Café Levain, along with a neighborhood tavern, the Turtle Bread Company, Sovereign Grounds Coffee Shop, True Colors Bookstore, a Chinese restaurant, a movie theater and veterinary clinic.
