Logan Park Real Estate - Minneapolis REALTORS®

A Northeast Minneapolis real estate agent who specializes in Logan Park real estate is essential if you are considering buying or selling a Logan Park house, Logan Park condo or Logan Park townhouse.  Agents Ranking has identified the best Northeast Minneapolis REALTORS® to assist with your Logan Park housing needs.

The Logan Park neighborhood, named after John Alexander Logan, a 19th century U.S. Senator and founder of the Memorial Day holiday, is a quiet mostly residential neighborhood located minutes from downtown Minneapolis and within walking distance to major commercial corridors.  This northeast Minneapolis neighborhood is bound by Washington Street to the west, 19th Avenue to the north, Central Avenue to the east and Broadway Street to the south.

The neighborhood is diverse and approximately 40% of the Logan Park is industrial, primarily in the eastern and northern portions of the neighborhood across from the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks. The remainder of Logan Park is characterized mainly by single-family homes, many of which are large Victorian style homes dating back to the late 19th century.

Logan Park is also home to the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, making this neighborhood a diverse, creative and fun place to live and play. There are several converted older industrial buildings throughout Logan Park that are used as artist studios, stores, small  businesses and non-profits including the Casket Arts Building, Thorpe Building, Qarma Building, Waterbury Building, and the Northrup King Building, home to over 190 tenants and over 170 artists.

Besides a few small businesses, architect studios and galleries, there aren’t any major shopping areas within the neighborhood. A half mile south of Logan Park is the bustling Hennepin Avenue commercial corridor. In this trendy area, residents will find several longtime and popular Minneapolis landmarks including, Kramarczuk’s eastern European deli, Surdyk’s Wine Store and Deli, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (the oldest church in Minneapolis) and Nye's Polonaise, named “Best Bar in America” by Esquire Magazine in October of 2006. Additionally, there are several historic pubs, charming restaurants, boutique shops and a Lunds grocery store within this area as well.

North of Logan Park along Central Avenue, residents will find a thriving shopping area featuring Indian grocery stores, Middle Eastern and Latin American restaurants and markets. There are several other entertainment options, nightclubs, casual restaurants, shopping and service-oriented businesses that cater to local residents along the Central Avenue corridor as well.

The neighborhood’s main park, Logan Park, is conveniently located in the residential area of the neighborhood at Broadway Avenue and Monroe Street.  This popular park features baseballs, softball and soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, an indoor recreation center, wading pool, playground and a ice rink during the winter months.

Northeast Park, located a few block east of the neighborhood is also a popular park for Logan Park residents and features several athletic fields, picnic areas, multiple tennis and volleyball courts, a golf putting course and plenty of open green space and the Jim Lupient Water Park.

The neighborhood is a good mix between home owners and renters, with owner occupied homes making up 38% percent of all households in Logan Park with the remaining 62% of households classified as renters. Average median household income is $30,268 per household as compared to an overall household income for Minneapolis of $37,974.
